Getting started

How to get your Stripe card reader

    Connect your account

    Link the same Stripe account you use for online payments. No new merchant accounts or sign-ups required.

    Order the hardware

    Purchase your reader from the Readers tab in your Stripe dashboard, selecting your studio address at checkout.

    Power on and connect

    Your reader arrives pre-configured to your account. Connect it to your WiFi, and it instantly syncs with TimiTomi, ready to take payments.

Questions about in-person payments

You connect Stripe when you go live, and the desk uses that same account. A card at the desk goes through a Stripe reader or Tap to Pay on your phone. Cash or a bank transfer takes no card at all: mark the order paid, and the booking is made.
