Spin

Software for a spin studio that sells classes in blocks

A spin studio sells blocks of classes rather than single spots. What decides whether a rider buys again is how long a credit lasts, whether they are told before it runs out, and what a late cancellation costs them.

A rider on a spin bike, with a day of classes beside her, the credits left on her pack and the days they last, and a place on the waiting list for a class that is full.

A credit, and the day it stops working

A pack is worth what its expiry says. Too short and riders feel caught out, too long and nobody buys the next one.

  • Set how long a pack lasts. A number of days from the purchase.

  • It works for the classes you pick. Not the whole timetable.

  • Extend an expiry in one click. For the rider who was away.

Before the last credit goes

The ride where somebody spends their last credit is the ride that decides whether they buy again. Most studios find out afterwards.

  • A message when credits run low. Sent before the last one is spent.

  • A code inside the message. A reason to buy the next pack now.

  • Top up without a new pack. Extra credits at a price you set.

Cancel in time and the credit comes back

A rider who loses a credit to a late cancellation remembers it. So does the studio that could not fill the bike.

  • You set the cancellation window. For the studio, or for one class.

  • In time, the credit returns. Late, it stays spent.

  • The spot reopens at once. The next rider can take it.

Pick a plan, and that is what you pay

What you pay depends on how many instructors teach at your studio, and on nothing else. It does not change when you sell more.

Questions from spin studios

No. A spot is a count, not a place: TimiTomi knows the class holds twenty and that seventeen are taken, and it does not know which bike is which. Studios that assign bikes do it on the day, in the room. If picking a bike at checkout is part of what you sell, this is the part of the product that will not do it.
