Paying the coach who taught it

A coach is paid for the class, and sometimes for each person in it. Working that out at the end of the month is an evening with a spreadsheet.

  • Three ways to pay. A monthly fee, a rate for each class, or a rate for each attendee.

  • Worked out as classes happen. Not typed up at the end of the month.

  • A pay history for each coach. Every class, the rate used and the total.

One day of classes, each one adding what it paid, the class nobody booked paying nothing, and the total under them.

When a coach cannot make it

Cover is normal in a studio with several coaches. Remembering to move the pay with it is the part that gets missed.

  • Swap the coach on one class. The weekly schedule stays as it was.

  • Pay follows the swap. The coach who taught it is the one paid.

  • One date, not every week. The weeks either side are untouched.

A substitute put on one class, the pay rule applied to that class, and a message saying who is running it.

A coach who has to ask the owner what they are teaching, and what they earned, is a message the owner answers every week.
