Software for a dance school where parents do the booking

In a dance school the person paying is often not the person dancing. One parent books two children into two different classes, and then the Thursday class moves. TimiTomi holds several spots under one payment and tells everybody booked when something changes.

A dancer bending backwards, with a teacher covering a class beside her, a card updated on file, and the day of classes with the spots left on each.

One parent, two children, one payment

A parent with two children in the school should not need two accounts, two checkouts and two receipts to get them both into a Saturday class.

  • Several spots in one booking. Two children, or a child and a friend.

  • One pack pays for all of them. Each spot takes a credit from the same balance.

  • It all sits under one customer. One page, one history, one card on file.

A dancer in a wide lunge, beside a plan put on hold with the credits left on it, and the buttons a parent manages it with.

When a Thursday class moves

A dance school changes single dates all year: a hall is taken, a teacher is away, a show week rearranges everything. The cost of that is the messages you have to write. Everybody booked is told, without you writing to them.

  • Change one date only. The rest of the term stays where it is.

  • Everybody booked hears about it. Sent when you make the change.

  • Close the weeks you are shut. Half term, and the weeks around a show.

Styles, levels and ages on one timetable

A school with ballet, street and contemporary across four age groups is a timetable most software turns into a wall of text.

  • A pack covers the classes you pick. A beginners pack cannot be spent on the advanced class.

  • A class can stay off the public page. For the group that is already full.

  • A teacher on every class. Shown to the parent before they book.

Pick a plan, and that is what you pay

What you pay depends on how many instructors teach at your studio, and on nothing else. It does not change when you sell more.

What a school also needs

  • Consent kept with the booking

Write your terms, attach them to the school or to one class, and keep proof of who accepted which version and when.

  • Who came to each class

Each class keeps a register, so a term ends with a record of who was in the room.

  • The day, hall by hall

Every hall on the day, the class in progress marked, and a way to add somebody in a few taps.

  • A code for a second child

Take a set amount off a second place in the same family, or a percentage, in a code you email out.

  • Classes in a parent’s calendar

Customers get a calendar file with the booking. Teachers connect Google or Outlook and see their own week.

  • Refunds when a term is cut short

Give back the whole term or the weeks that are left, and see what was paid and what never went through.

Questions from dance schools

No. TimiTomi sells classes, packs and memberships. It is not a shop, so anything that is not a class, uniform, shoes, tickets to the summer show, is sold somewhere else and does not appear in your order list.
